VOWS SPOKEN AT Maxine Mr. and Mrs. Will Hoeft, Garner, and Pfc. Eldon Beers, son of Mr and Mrs. Burdette Beers, Garner, were married in double ring ceremony at St.

Paul's Lutheran church June 16 at 7 o'clock. The Rev G. J. Kupke, pastor of the read the ceremony in presence of the immediate families. Music was provided by Mrs.

Out of town guests were Mrs. Mattie Peers, Mrs. Beth Seace of Mason City, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Benner of Britt.

MARRIAGE LICENSES ISSUED AT GARNER Garner County Clerk Ruth 700 'Brownies Have Day Camp at Lake More than 100 Brownie Scouts from Mason City officially opened the season at Camp Gaywood, the Mason City Girl Scout camp, on Saturday. Brownie Scouts poured out of cars and were soon scampering over the entire camp. Each troop planned its own program for the day. One group went exploring, another went in for dramatics, and still another played ball. Each Brownie troop cooked its own lunch at one of the 7 camp sites.

The highlight of the day for the whole group-was the swimming period, The entire water- front staff for the established camp was on hand to eliminate safety hazards. Brownies learned tor the first time what it meant to have a "buddy check." At 3 o'clock in the afternoon cars began to arrive to take the girls back to town. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Braun and attended the Worth county schools and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Ritchey and attended school in Northwood.

and Mrs. Mabb are both graduates of Thornton high school. The bride attended the American Institute of Business in Des Moines and the past 3 years was employed in Des Moines. The bridegroom is a graduate of State University of Iowa. After a wedding trip to northern Minnesota and Canada they will be at home in Thornton where the bridegroom is in business with his father.

23rd Pietzke Reunion Held The 23rd Peitzke reunion was held at the Y. M. Sunday with relatives from Clear Lake, Ankeny, LuVern, Des Mnines and Mason City present. A basket lunch was served at noon, Mrs. Fred Heddens, Mrs.

Keith Stone and Mrs. Don Heddens in charge of arrangements. George Peitzke presided at the business session during which officers were elected. Paul Nissen was named president; Vern Stone, vice president; Mrs. Fred Heddens, secretary-treasurer.

The group voted to change the meeting date from the 3rd to the 4th Sunday in June for 1950 and to have the meeting at the Y. M. C. A. in Mason Mrs.

Dean Anderson, Mrs. Don Heddens and Mrs. Keith Stone were appointed to make arrangements for the 1950 reunion. PEHRSON-BOOTS Virginia Boots, daughter of Mr. and J.

M. Boots, and Leland Pehrson, Red Oak, were mairied June 11 at the Collegiate Methodist church at Ames. They were attended by the bride's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. R.

H. Krimlofski. A reception was held at the Sheldon-Munn hotel. After a stay at Lake Okoboji, they will live in St. Paul.

The bride attended Drake university and has been secretarial manager of the Collegiate Press at Iowa State college, Ames. The bridegroom was graduated this month in chemical engineering from Iowa State college. He is employed as chemical engineer for the Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing company.
