SOGETY Ruth Laughlin Weds John Stout Clarion Miss Ruth Laughlin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George of Osage, became the bride of John Stout, son of Mr. and Mrs. John C.

Stout of Clarion, Aug. 6 at the Osage Lutheran church. The Rev. T. P.

Solem officiated. Frances Altman played a prelude of nuptial music and accompanied Marcelle Rowland, who sang. Miss Phyllis Mauser was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Lilliam Mostrom of Manly, cousin of the bridegroom and Lois Laughlin of Osage, cousin of the bride. Lenore and Alice Laughlin, sisters of the bride were flower girls. William Wright of Clarion was best man and Richard Mostrom of Manly, cousin of the bridegroom, and Walter Laughlin of Osage, brother of the bride, were ushers.

One hundred guests attended the reception which was held in the church parlors. The couple will return to Oel-, wem where Mr. Stout will be employed until September. The bride is a student in home economics at Iowa State college and Mr. Stout 3s also a student at Ames where they will live.

Thomas J. Rooney. Altar boys were Keith LaBounty, brother of the bride, and James Miller of Cresco. Maid of honor was Elaine LaBounty, sister of the bride, and the bridegroom was attended by his brother, Kenneth Krieger. Ushers were Dale Krieger and Freddie Staudt.

A reception was held for 85 guests in St. Joseph's. After a 2 weeks' wedding trip they will be at home at Charles City. The bride is a graduate of the Immaculate Conception school. She has been employed as receptionist at the Cedar Valley hospital where she will resume her work after their return.

The bridegroom was graduated from the Immaculate Conception school and is an employe of the Oliver corporation. Nelson-Anderson Nuptials Held Swea Virginia Anderson, daughter of and Mrs. Adolph Anderson, and Ned Nelson of Humboldt were married Aug. 15 at Immanuel Lutheran church. Phyllis Anderson was organist and Kathryn Tweeten sang.

The Rev. A. M. Youngquist performed the ceremony. The bride's maid of honor was Marieta Thorson of Ames.

The bridegroom's attendant was Arnold Olson of Humboldt. Ushers were Duane Wendell and Wayne Hansen, both of Humboldt. The bridegroom's sister, Beverly, and cousin, Ruth Ann Nelson, Humboldt, lit the tapers. Following the ceremony the reception was held in the Luther hall. The bridegroom was educated in the Humboldt schools and at University of Iowa and was a captain in the army.

He is assistant manager of the Sears Roebuck store in Fort Dodge. His wife was graduated from the Swea City high school and from the 2 year elementary teachers' course at Waldorf college, following which she taught in Swea township, in Burt, in Humboldt and for the past year in one of the primary rooms in Fort Dodge schools.
